I couldn’t help but giggle yesterday afternoon when my son showed up to a pool party wearing a huge belt buckle and a pair of cowboy boots. I know he knew that our best friends were having a swimming party and I expected him to wear a pair of jeans and then change in to a pair of swimming pants, but I think everyone was a little surprised when he was wearing the cowboy boots, jeans, western shirt and belt buckle. I actually was surprised that he didn’t wear his cowboy hat, but I think he’d forgotten about it and I wasn’t about to mention it. For some reason ever since he went to his first rodeo, he’s started wearing more and more western wear. As it turned out, he decided he didn’t want to swim, and that’s why he didn’t worry about wearing the western clothes. He did ask me while we were having dinner if he could order a new shirt that he’d found online for a good price and I asked him to email me the information and that I would look this morning. I wasn’t about to say yes without seeing it.
