western saddle, cowboy bootsWe are now officially out of the summer season. This is a great day to look back on the past few months and smile at all the good times. A lot happened this summer. I wore cowboy boots for the first time during a costume party, I learned how to make fire with just hunting knives, rope and localized tree foliage and I got to visit my family. Fall is in the air and with it comes cooler temperatures. This is my friend’s favorite time of the year to bring the western saddle out of storage and ride. Her horse doesn’t get exhausted from the heat and neither does she. The summer is a fantastic time of the year but the cooler months aren’t so bad either. I guess that depends on where you live.

Over here in Southern California we aren’t freezing or drenched by any means. There is just a higher chance for overcast and ocean breezes when near the water. She has a favorite ride near the beach outside of the city I’ve wanted to experience for months now. Next time she finds an extra western saddle and horse to borrow I’m in.
