belt buckle, cowboy bootsWhen my friend told me about a local rodeo coming to town in a few weeks, I could see that this is an event he has been waiting for. He is from rural America and has always loved the rodeo. I got that much from him during his explanation of how awesome they are. He asked if I’d want to go and I agreed. My question for him was whether or not I should show up wearing a belt buckle, tight denim, tucked in flannel shirt and cowboy boots. He laughed and said that is what he will probably show up with.  All the answer I needed.

I’m not much of a cowboy so it took a visit to Jewelry Tack Room for a belt buckle. They had the kind of affordable but authentic product I was looking for. There is a good chance people at a rodeo can spot a first timer. I want to show up looking like this is not my first rodeo. Pun intended. It is going to be wild to see something like this in person.
