When we started building our new home several months ago, our son asked if he could have a western saddle in his room. I will admit that I found this to be a little bit of an odd request, especially since he doesn’t own a horse. He said that he loves the Wild West so much that he thought if he had a western saddle in his room that he could decorate his room like the Wild West and the western saddle would make it seem more authentic. I couldn’t help but smile since he is 10 years old and thinking about the authenticity of his room décor. I know he’d love to have a horse of his own, but my husband and I have decided that we may actually take that plunge once we move into our home and get settled. In the meantime, I’ve been scouring the internet for a good price on a western saddle and I think I found one this morning. He doesn’t know it yet, but he’s going to have one in his new bedroom, and if all goes according to plan, he may actually have a horse to go along with it a little later in the year.
