Last night my son walked into the living room after dinner wearing the clothes he was going to start school in today. He was dressed completely western in his cowboy boots, shirt and western belt buckle and I couldn’t help but smile. I’d ordered him the cowboy boots online and his aunt had given him the belt buckle and he loved it all. I asked if he was sure he wanted to wear this particular outfit on his first day to school and he said yes. He’s only 8, but you would think he’s 30 because he’s so precise with everything he does. He’s really excited about school and loves to learn, so I hope that this year will find him with great teachers who love their jobs. He asked if I thought the belt buckle needed to be polished, but I told him I felt sure that it would be ok. Once he got the mom approval on his outfit, he took them back to his room and hung them together on a hanger so he could access them easily this morning. I’m going to have to wake him shortly and hope this is going to be a great day for him.
